I'd berate myself were it not for the fact that it was a weekend of shock results.  It's a case of taking it on the chin, picking ourselves up off the canvas when we regain consciousness and having another go!

Just to give you some idea of how bad a week it was, not one of the contestants in the weekly puzzle that is the Weekend Winner managed to find a winner.  Even with blind luck and a pin in your hand you should hit a winner 33% of the time.   Well, actually that's not strictly true, it's probably closer to 40% of the time if you pick a home win, 35% if you pick an away win and 25% if you pick a draw.

Whatever the exact figures are, Chelsea failing to beat Burnley, Middlesbrough losing at home to Leeds, Colchester beating Bristol City and Swindon losing at home to Crawley all stick out as four coupon busters for a start.  There were plenty more, just take a look at thetipper.co.uk selections.  I was confident about all of them before kick-off.

There are plenty of midweek fixtures to sink our teeth into, so it's off to work I go and I'll be back with the recommended bets tomorrow!
