The Safe Method  -4.43 pts. (This includes 1 pt Man Utd. @ 11-2 & 0.1 pt @ 8-1 to win the Premier League and 1 pt AFC Bournemouth @ 2-1 & 0.5 pt Ipswich @ 11-2 to win the Championship as lost money)

The Dangerous Method +0.138 pt (This includes 2 pts Man Utd. @ 11-2 & 0.1 pt @ 8-1 to win the Premier League
and 1 pt AFC Bournemouth @ 2-1 & 0.5 pt Ipswich @ 11-2 to win the Championship as lost money)

The Proper Footytipping Season Starts Now Method +1.30 pts

Two methods are now in the black, but that's nothing to cheer about because there's an awful long way to go before we reach our profit targets for the season.  I'm sorry I can't be more upbeat, but when you have five selections absolutely bursting with value, admittedly one was postponed and only one of them actually wins, there's the feeling that things are against us.

All I can say in defence of betting on value here at thetipper.co.uk is that we managed, by leaving out  the cup games, to miss Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Southampton, Swansea and Tottenham.  They were five sides that all looked likely winners that were offering no value whatsoever.

I did read that Manchester City had taken their players away to Abu Dhabi only to return less than 24 hours before their tie against Middlesbrough.  This only goes to prove that the F.A. Cup is not very high on the big clubs list of priorities.  There's not much moaning going on at the moment in the post match euphoria of all the giant killing, but there will be, there will be.

A friend of mine came up with a solution to this farcical situation.  He asked me to type it up for him and send it to the FA.  So, I did, it follows and after that there is the FA's reply...

If the Football League wanted to get involved too the FA Cup would assume massive importance, possibly affecting the Premier League title, Champions League places and promotion and relegation issues right through the leagues.  Personally I can't see a down side to it.  If you can, please let me know what it is.
