By Way of an Explanation.

I bang on and on about value and people ask me, 'What do you mean by value?'  A perfectly reasonable question.  It's difficult to give a satisfactory answer because what I perceive as value may look like a complete rip-off to you.

I was hoping to give you an example tonight in the Doncaster Rovers vs Notts County game, but the closer I looked at the game the less value I could see.  I was going to follow the analysis up with a tip on the game, but to be perfectly honest I think it's much more important to be sure that you have real value than to advise you to have a bet on perceived value, based on a hunch.

As an example, when you are having a bet it's better to keep your money in your pocket than back Notts County at 4-1 to win because you saw two magpies in a field.  Doncaster's price is too short, but that doesn't make Notts County's too long.

So, this means that there are no midweek tips.  Next tips will be up at the weekend.
