With the exit of the Oakland Athletics in last night's AL Wild Card game, if any of the remaining American League sides win the World Series we are guaranteed some kind of return which is a start.

Tonight's National League Wild Card game between San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates, begs the question, 'Who's your Ace?'  This is a one off game and I think your best pitcher has to start.

For San Francisco there is no doubt, it has to be Madison Bumgarner, his 18-10 regular season record plus his 3-2 work in Post Season baseball speaks for itself.  His 0-1 record  against Pittsburgh this season is really his only minus.

For Pittsburgh I think it should be Gerrit Cole, but the Bucs are starting with Edinson Volquez.  Cole's record against the Giants this season is 1-0, his Post Season record is better, plus he's better with a bat in his hands.

Two things are in Pittsburgh's favour.  Firstly their bullpen is better than San Francisco's and secondly they are at home.

On the flip side of that, they could have won the NL Central, but they lost their last two games and San Francisco come in to this game on the back of two wins.

It's tricky.  A win for the Giants is the best result for us.  Once again the bookies find it very hard to separate them, making the Giants slight favourites.

We are leaving the game alone.  It's too tight to call with the prices being 100-111 San Francisco and 103-100 Pittsburgh on offer with bet365.

On to football.  As if by magic Leeds are now 19-10 with both bet365, Sign Up Now &
.  This is the best price available and you are not advised to take it as it is the absolute minimum price I'd back them at.  We want some value, which this season is proving hard to find.  There will be no more bets advised on the football until Friday, for the games being played at the weekend.

Another Good Deed Done!?
