Firstly, there are no football bets for tonight or tomorrow.  They'll be back at the weekend, with a post late on Friday night or Saturday morning.

Cheltenham is looming on the horizon and based on previous form Michael Vaughan will be looking for some tips, so to help both you and him, I'm going to try to come up with a coherent strategy for winning some money next week.

Already advised is 1 pt e.w Our Conor in the Champion Hurdle @ 9-2.  His price has already started to tumble with most bookies offering 4-1 about his chances of winning as of writing.

Now this is the point at which  bet365
would normally come into their own as they offer you a free bet on the next televised race on channel 4 if your selection wins at 4-1 or greater.  Unfortunately they have dropped Our Conor's price to 7-2 and that means we would need their Best Price guarantee to come into play and the SP would have to drift for us to be able to join up the dots.  We've already had a bet, so we're not putting any more on just yet.

The strategy is going to be to bet with bet365 on Channel 4's televised races where possible.  We may well swerve any races with huge fields unless we're already winning a fortune.  The Supreme Novice's Hurdle being a classic example with closer to 100 runners in it at the moment than 1.

We are at the stage now where there is no way that you should be doing business with any bookmaker that isn't offering you your money back if your horse doesn't run.

There will be an a.m. post on this blog every day outlining the day's selections and there will be alerts on twitter before a selection runs directing you towards this blog.  It is worth signing up to all the bookmakers that thetipper.co.uk is an affiliate for, by clicking on the buttons below, because all of them will have at least one offer worth taking advantage of during the festival and it also helps you to qualify when it comes to the competitions that are run on this site.
