Who Said Golf was a Boring Game?

Results:  USA 13 1/2 - 14 1/2 Europe 0.5pt Settled @ 13-8.  -1.088
                  Lotto                                                                        -1.188
                  Middlesbrough 1-2 Leicester                               -1.688

If you ever have then the Ryder Cup over the weekend must have dispelled that notion.  Compelling viewing from beginning to end.  Sport with a plot that Hollywood would have called preposterous.  Incredible skill, sportsmanship and pressure that reduced some of the best players in the world to the level of club golfers for a few moments.  The way the Americans behaved was out of the top drawer and it was Europe's turn to go mental on the last green when Martin Kaymer's putt went in to retain the trophy.  Tiger Woods and Francesco Molinari were waiting back down the eighteenth fairway and if Tiger had halved the hole the match would have been tied.  The European players, caddies and team staff's reaction was understandable given the circumstances, but we must now understand how the Americans felt at Brookline in 1999 and be a bit more forgiving of their over exuberance.  The parallels between the two matches are quite spooky.  Both sides 10-6 down at the start of the final day, Justin Leonard's and Justin Rose's incredible putting, the final scores etc.etc.

On to the midweek tip.

You are advised to bet 0.4pt  on Walsall to beat Leyton Orient @ 5-4.  This is available with Click_here_to_bet_at BetVictor & UK Sportsbook.  The bet will be settled at the more generally available price of  6-5.  You can get this with Stan James, , bet365 Boylesports &.

There was a discussion between Colin Murray, Pat Nevin and Steven Reid about away kits on MOTD 3.

It's towards the end at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19780609  I have to say I disagreed completely with their assessment of QPR's home and away strip. The home kit has way too many hoops on it.  Frankly it's awful and there's nothing wrong with QPR playing with red in their away kit.  The club has almost always played with red in the away strip, be it Dennis the Menace red and black hoops or Blackburn style Red and white halves.  Last years orange, a lucky colour in the Far East, I wonder why they chose it, was also...horrible.

Good Fortune Viewers!
