Moving Along.

Result:  Ross County 0-0 Motherwell  -0.4pt Running total -0.4pt

Apparently, Ross County troubled Motherwell about as much as we troubled the bookmakers and never really looked like winning the game.  Not to worry, these are really early days in the season and that's why the stakes are so small.  Since we had a loser last week the stakes are going to be reduced again.

For the Safe Method you are advised to bet 0.3pt on Alloa to beat East Fife @ 11-8.  This price is available with

UK Sportsbook  Click_here_to_bet_at BetVictor and Stan James.

It will be settled on here @ 13-10 which is available with bet365 Boylesports, BlueSQ, 888.sport and bodog.

For information regarding The Dangerous Method, which is currently -0.5pt you will have to register on the web-site @ thetipper.co.uk

A word or two on our football teams at the Olympics. The women promised so much, playing well but eventually getting battered in the quarter-finals by the Canadians, who lost 3-4 after extra time to the USA in the semi-final, which meant that the Canadians fared better than the silver medallists Japan.  If you could have, you'd have wanted to avoid the USA until the final.  Which begs the question, how was the draw for the quarter-finals done?  If it was, as I suspect, the best qualifier plays the worst qualifier, second best qualifier plays the second worst qualifier, etc. etc. Doesn't that leave the door slightly ajar for the same sort of shenannigans as those that plagued the badminton?  I'm not saying that they occured, I'm just saying there's that possibility.  If you go from a league format to a knockout format there should be a random draw with any top ranked team able to meet any second or third ranked side.

The men, in contrast, seemed to struggle.  Another loss in a quarter-final on penalties.  It happens so regularly we ought to be betting on it.  But we're not, not yet anyway.  We may well be come the 2014 World Cup.

Good Fortune Viewers!
