Games to be postponed in August?

If the weather continues in the same vein it's quite possible that the season will get off to a stuttering and very squelchy start.  Some of the sides in the lower leagues who haven't been able to afford state of the art drainage systems, Luton in the Conference immediately springs to mind, may well have problems playing because of waterlogged pitches.

Bear that in mind if you try to predict who's going to be leading the Conference at the end of August.

Of course the weather could change for the better and we could be basking in blazing sunshine throughout August, totally contradicting Henry VIII's assertion that the English summer is three sunny days and a thunderstorm.

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you, unless you're already flooded.

Good Fortune Viewers!
